Mark Machen – President/CEO

Mark Machen Bio
With over 30 years’ business experience in the service sector including telecommunications and energy services in competitive environments, Mark is co-founder, President and CEO of Blue Quail Energy Services. Prior to becoming part of the Blue Quail team Mark served as Vice President and General Manager for Grande Communications overseeing operations in the Midland, Odessa, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi markets. Prior to Grande Mark held various positions within GTE (now Verizon) including Division Resource Manager in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to GTE he served as Director of Construction at Multi-Technology Services responsible for technological infrastructure within the Multi-Dwelling Community. He and his wife Ann have two grown children and live in Midland, Texas.

Tye Edwards – Chief Operating Officer

Tye Edwards Bio
Tye brings more than 10 years’ experience in energy services. He is co-founder and VP of Operations. His career in energy services began with E-Tec Environmental as a site supervisor. Tye then served as Operations Manager for Caribbean Evaporation and Pump. His responsibilities covered multiple frac locations and water transfer crews within the Permian Basin. Prior to joining Blue Quail, Tye was the Operations/Sales Manager for Sweet H2O with responsibilities in Texas and New Mexico. Tye brings many relationships and abilities to the Blue Quail team. Tye has deep roots in the Delaware Basin area as he was born and raised in Pecos. He and his wife Dani have two young boys and they live in Midland.

Carson Machen – VP of Operations

Carson Machen Bio
Carson arrived at Blue Quail in September of 2015 as Well Servicing Operations Manager. Carson manages all Water Well Servicing Operations in the Permian Basin and our freshwater drilling rig fleet. Carson has six years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He brings organization, communication, and expertise to the Water Well Servicing division of Blue Quail. Prior to Blue Quail, Carson worked as a Lease Operator for Legacy Reserves taking care of more than 50 oil wells and 20 gathering facilities. Before Legacy, Carson worked at Concho Resources as a Lease Operator covering the Neal Ranch in Upton County, Texas. Carson and his wife Kristin currently reside in Midland, Texas.
